The Daily Scroll - Jesus Warned

For those who are interested in Bible prophecy and the end times, pull out your Bible and turn to Matthew chapter 24 and read the words of Jesus. Then look at the news, the newspaper, and social media and voila! We are living in Jesus’ words. Of course there are other passages in the Bible that describe in detail what is to come as well. Some say but we’ve seen these things before in the past, but watch this Brothers and Sisters, we’ve never, ever seen all these things come to pass at the same time.

A word to the wise…be ready! This will be a joyous home coming for the believers, the glorious church of Jesus. But sadly, Hell on earth for those who miss out. Jesus is coming!

The Daily Scroll - The Veil

Many years ago I experienced a life changing event. I call it an event for it was incredible and life changing. I received the revelation of Jesus Christ and Father God in the Spirit realm. Seeing them with my spiritual eyes opened, as encouraged by the Apostle Paul with his writing in the book of Ephesians 1:18. I have detailed this and subsequent revelations and visions in my book “Fellowship in the Spirit.” I want to encourage you to seek the face of the Lord, for it’s His desire. Ask Him to lift the veil and open your eyes to see Him and to begin to have fellowship, true fellowship, with Him in the realm of the Spirit, His realm.

“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” (2Corinthians 3:17-18)

He’s waiting. Waiting for you.

The Daily Scroll - Open Door

Frank was a new convert and looking for his place at church. He watched others doing various jobs and ministries and, as he would say, wanted in on the action. Always on the go Frank was not satisfied just occupying a pew. He talked to the pastor and the only opportunity that was available was to direct parking in the parking lot. They really needed workers there especially on Sunday mornings when the biggest crowd showed up. Not a normally humble man, Frank was looking for a more prestigious position. So on the first morning trip he showed up and reported to Brother Owens, he was shown the ropes but his lack of enthusiasm was obvious.

Brother Owens had been in charge of this “parking lot ministry” for some years now and saw the signs, so he pulled Frank aside. Frank told him , “No offense Brother Owens, but I was looking for something of a higher calling than this. I wanted to do something great for the Lord.”

Brother Owens in his wisdom said, “Frank I know what you mean. Our job here are not recognized so much and it’s sort of thankless, but we are providing a good service. We share umbrellas in the rain, we help disabled people find a good spot, we find lost Bibles, wallets, purses, and even kids. And don’t forget, our smiling faces are the first ones that new visitors see. Stick with this and do your best, and in time, God will move you when you’re ready.

Frank took his wise counsel and changed his outlook. He saw new importance to his ministry job and flourished. Today, many years later, Brother Frank pastors a church with a parking lot twice the size. He can be found there on a busy Sunday morning directing traffic and welcoming everyone with his biggest smile.

The Bible records the Apostle Paul writing, “When I came to the city of Troas to preach the Good News of Christ, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me.” (Ephesians 2:12)

You too have an open door prepared by God. Go through it and enjoy the adventure.

The Daily Scroll - Night Terrors

When April was a child she lived Northern California. Her father George worked for the Forest Service as a firefighter. Several times her dad  faced dangers which put his life at risk. Hearing the stories around the dinner made April fearful of fires, and that fear caused her to have nightmares. They were so realistic that she would wake in the night sweating and trembling.

Her Mother comforted her but still she feared. Then one Sunday Pastor Martin shared a scripture during his sermon which made her sit up and take notice.

“You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling” (Psalm 91:6-9)

The Daily Scroll - Standing Faith

It’s not your grandmama, nor your grandpa, not your momma or your daddy. It’s your faith, yours and yours alone, that determines your present and future. Lord Jesus wants you to have joy, peace and goodness in your life. But it comes by your faith. So stand strong in your faith.

“We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy, for it is by your own faith that you stand firm.”  (II Corinthians 1:24)

The Apostle wrote that as encouragement to the Believers in Corinth. They also had many evil distractions as we, in our day, also have. Linda felt like she had salvation because her Grandma was a strong believer in Christ. But after her Grandmother went to be with the Lord, she found herself questioning and being challenged about her faith. One day she decided it was time that she read the Bible for herself, not because of her family, not just because Pastor Smith spoke on a certain passage last Sunday, but just for herself.

Suddenly a whole world of faith and understanding opened up to her. Now, in a war torn country with a family to support and protect, the wisdom she gained from the Bible and her new close walk with the Lord helped her to survive and succeed daily. Learning to stand on her faith, hers and hers alone became the biggest blessing. She finally had standing faith.

The Daily Scroll - I’m Mad!

Does this ever happened to you? Do you know someone you know, someone you work with, someone you live with, that just makes you mad? Well, human nature will come out when you least expect it and you can find yourself furious over the way someone treats you. The first instinct in human nature of course is to fight back. You scream at me and I’ll scream at you. You get mad at me so that makes me mad at you. Furthermore I’ll stay mad at you until you apologize! Well apologies don’t often come and all you do is end up making yourself frustrated, anxious, and eventually sick. God has a better way. He teaches us in the Bible:

21 “If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you.” (Proverbs 25:21-22)

Being nice to someone who despitefully uses you may be against your nature, but believe me in the long run you’ll have peace, and usually the other person won’t apologize anyway. Do it God’s way.

The Daily Scroll - Silence…in Heaven

Friends, there is coming a time, which many believe, as do I, that the judgement of God will be poured out on this earth. Humanity will get what we deserve. Scripture tells us that believers in Christ Jesus will be spared. However the wrath is so unspeakable that when it’s revealed, all of Heaven will be silent for thirty minutes. The following comments comes to us via “The Christian library ministry.” https://www.christianstudylibrary.org/article/one-half-hour-silence-heaven

An Unexpected Pause

🔗

“Let us now read Revelation 8:1-2“And when he (i.e. the Lamb) had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.” Before the seven trumpets will be revealed there is a pause in heaven, a silence of about half an hour. This is most unusual. Heaven is the place where God is continually praised by myriads of angels and redeemed saints. There is joy, there is happiness and loud hallelujahs resound.”

The Reason for this Silence🔗

“We are told of a thirty-minute silence. There must be a reason for this. And of course, there is. This mysterious silence has to do with the contents of the seven judgments that are about to be revealed. All heaven stands in suspense, holding its breath, as it were. So awful is the wrath of God, which is about to be revealed, that the inhabitants of heaven stand spellbound for half an hour in breathless and silent amazement!”

I encourage you to click the link and read the entire article. Much blessings to you as we wait for the rapture.

The Daily Scroll - When We All Get To Heaven

In my mind, I can still hear the old saints who’ve gone on to their reward singing,”When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory.“

Oh yes that will be a great day, yet that day will only be the beginning. We’ll be with the Lord forever and we’ll be doing things. Oh there will be time to have fellowship with loved ones and friends, we’ll meet new people and long ago relations, but we’ll also have other things to do. The Bible says that we’ll rule and reign with Christ back on this earth at some point. And training will be necessary.

God will use the talents and experience, which we have, but so much more will be required, and therefore we’ll be taught just like the twelve disciples were taught by Jesus. Like the saying says, “ If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” In Heaven and beyond we’ll love what we do as we do it with Him. With Them! The Bible tells us:

“Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:6)
“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.” (Revelation 21:10-11)
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4)

The Daily Scroll - Hope in Failure

A young girl tries out for the high school basketball team, and in spite of her enthusiasm she does not make the team. Heartbroken and disappointed, she falls into depression and melancholy. Her wise father encourages her by pointing out her other accomplishments and successes. Soon she overcomes her sadness by focusing on the good in her life. She counts her blessings and moves forward.

I too have experienced disappointment and failure, and with the encouragement from my Heavenly Father, have counted my blessings and found hope in the midst of failure. In the Bible God promised the following:

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:)

The Daily Scroll - Love

Sara was looking for love in her life when she met Jim. She wasn’t sure of his love for her but she loved him deeply. They married and she became a very selfish person, always wanting her own way. It seemed right to her, but to Jim it became almost unbearable. She would put him down and belittle him until she got her way. He felt used and abused but he truly loved her so he silently endured. A friend told him that he should leave her. “There are plenty of good women out there who would love a man like you and treat you right.” Jim knew that, but there was one problem with leaving her…Jim loved her. In spite of years of verbal abuse, he loved her and treasured those moments when she was nice, and showed love to him. Was Jim a fool, a patsy, a weakling? No Jim was strong, and a man with love in his heart. Gods word tells us in I Corinthians 13:

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”

And so did Jim.

The Daily Scroll - Small Part?

Do you ever feel insignificant in the Church, the body of Christ? You may think, who am I? Or, my contribution doesn’t count. But my friend it does. It really does. The Bible explains:

“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church:

first are apostles,

second are prophets,

third are teachers,

then those who do miracles,

those who have the gift of healing,

those who can help others,

those who have the gift of leadership,

those who speak in unknown languages.” (1st Corinthians 12-27,28)

And more. When a visitors comes to the church service, the first person they meet are the greeters. Then the people who sit in front and beside them. These people and their friendliness will help determine if the visitors become regulars. See how important your very smile can be. You are significant.

The Daily Scroll - “Not as the world gives”

All of humanity is in, and of this world, but in the very midst is another realm, another world. It’s the kingdom of God. The believers in the Lord Jesus know this and live out if it, right in the middle of humanity. The Bible tells us that we are in this world but not of this world. For when we accept forgiveness from Jesus Christ, we are born again, born into Him and His kingdom. Our body is here but our spirit is joined to His spirit and lives out of His kingdom.

Knowing and experiencing that gives us great peace. It’s recorded in the Gospel of John, “ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”- Jesus

He is coming soon. Don’t miss it.

The Daily Scroll - Seek

Seek the lord while he may be found. For there is coming a day very soon when it will be more and more difficult to find him. Great tribulation is coming to the Earth. A time of war, famine, disease, and natural disasters all accelerated in the unprecedented way. Men’s hearts will fail them for fear. Men will shake their fist at God and blame him for all their misfortunes.

The Lord will call his children home in an event called the rapture of the church, and they and the children will escape this great tribulation. Seek and become part of him, part of His church and be ready to escape. But he who does not know the Lord, who doesn’t not call on his name, will not escape. They will be the harvest that the enemy has planned for the souls of men.

Here’s a fair warning to all unbelievers. Do not be deceived by false teachings and doctrines of devils. For all will stand before the judgement seat of Christ and if you do not know Him, you will be found guilty and your soul will be lost to eternal damnation. You will NOT come back as another person go live again until you get it right. You have one life on this earth. One. Seek Him while He may be found. I did long ago and I am at peace. Peace that only knowing Christ can bring. Seek Him please.

The Daily Scroll - Dream!

Don’t forget to dream. Imagine what works the Lord will do through you. The Bible shows us how repeatedly that the Lord will work through ordinary fallible people to accomplish His purpose. So dream, think about how you, yes you, may become part of the doing while believing. Remember how thousands of hungry people were blessed with food by the Lord’s generous miracle. We’re also shone how Lord Jesus used the twelve disciples to carry out the feeding? That same Jesus will also use you to meet peoples’ needs, and bless them…for Him.

Who would aspire to carry a large basket of food and distribute it to hungry people? Not so glamorous, right. But the how many of us would like to be part of a gigantic miracle that people talk about through eternity? So dream, dream big for who knows where your dreams will carry you when you a serving the Lord Jesus?

The Daily Scroll - Fear not

“Fear not!” The Angel says to virtually everyone to whom he appears. When the news arrives, the messenger is sometimes more scary than the news. So today the news is scary to so many and like the Bible predicted so long ago, we are living in a time where “ mens hearts are failing them for fear.”

The world is not at peace, and actually it’s more like a stirring cauldron of war, violence, famine, natural disasters, and evil of unspeakable dimensions. If you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ, then His peace is available to you. But if not, then your peace is hard to come by.

Remember when The Disciples were tossed about in the raging sea and it looked like they were going to die, Jesus came walking on the water to save them. He exercised His mastery over the wind and the waves and walked on the water to save His people, then commanded the wind and waves to be peaceful and still. He’ll walk on water for you if necessary and take charge over the horror that you are facing. He says to us, “Fear not!” Look to Him and not the circumstances which surround and threaten you. Fear not.
